The Arab-Hebrew Theatre from Tel-Aviv/ Yaffa is a small, socially and politically committed theatre without its own ensemble. It regularly hosts both Arab and Jewish artists. Often modern, but also classical performances in current interpretation in Arabic and Hebrew emphasise the need for artistic cooperation against the backdrop of the ongoing Middle East conflict. The Arab-Hebrew Theatre was founded in 1998 and is located in a special historic building in the old city of Yaffa. Participation in the festival is made possible by the Württembergische Landesbühne Esslingen and the Ulm Theatre, which repeatedly focus on the themes of conflict resolution, tolerance and understanding.
