With Nassoro Mkwesso (kcc)
Nassoro Mkwesso, one of the founders of the KCC, will start the session by sharing a short theatre performance. The play is about women who stand on their own feet and who have to deal with lot’s of problems concerning the system of patriarchy. For example they have to justify their well-paid jobs or evening bar visits to their husbands.In the ensuing discussion, Nassoro Mkwesso is going to shed light on the professional and social challenges for young women and how the KCC is supporting them to overcome difficulties. Gender equality and quality of opportunity play an important role, as well as specific tools that are supposed to help the women to establish their own small businesses. These help women to achieve financial independence, enabling them to support their families.
