The artists from the chilien group La Mona Ilustre offer artistic workshops aimed at creators, artists, directors and technicians related to the field of scenic arts who are interested in delving into the methods and disciplines approached by the La Mona Ilustre company: body and space techniques, object and puppet manipulation, and creation and acting in imagery.
In this occasion, under the festival’s premise; “Theatre as a safe place”, Valentina Escoza will work in “INTRODUCTION TO HEAD-ON MANIPULATION”. “Someone or something lives, only if we together give life to it. We imagine it together, he’s, her’s or it’s shape and size proposes in a universal language that cuts across cultures and frontiers. If we all work together, and everyone is at it’s best we can tell the objects truth together. A truth that represents us, that unites us, that makes us asses our differences in a safe place. An amicable place where we are all essential. That is how we give life to the object.” Own body awareness, the manipulation of objects, play and interaction are trained in the workshop and can be used specifically on stage.
