STAGE COMBAT is an artistic presentation of fight on stage. It is based on the principles of reality, masked by specific techniques which make the performance safe for the actresses and actors. The combat scene is designed in a way that strengthens the story as well as the theatrical narrative.
This workshop offers an introduction and exploration of the technical and aesthetic aspects of stage combat. RIKI’s main goal is to teach the workshop participants the techniques for presenting combat on stage in the context of a performance safely and with dramatic power. The participants learn how to integrate stage combat as a practical element into a theatre production and how they fuse into one.
